Cop Out Question
Wednesday, June 17, 2009
I’ve been busy with the summer again, and that means it’s time to pull another Ask Peter question as a cop out post. You got to love these questions — someone in the world gets what they’re looking for, and I get to make a post with about 33% of the same effort as usual.
Currently my mail seems to be full of weird things, so perhaps you can find something interesting to change that. Yes, you. The one in front of this screen. Do you hear me?
The Question
Who am i talking to right now?
– Prime
Well, Prime, there are a variety of answers to that question. And I must say, I like your name. It’s very unique and it reminds me of Metroid.
First, I’ll assume by talk, you are referring to typing the message you typed, and by right now, you mean when you typed your message. Thus, you are “talking” to me. My name is Peter Hurford. I’m a 17 year old high school student who lives in Ohio. I own and write for the blog you’re reading right now. I enjoy life, and I don’t wear hats.
Now, maybe you are actually referring to talk as talking. Maybe you were holding a conversation while typing out that question, or maybe you’re using now to constantly refer to “right now”, and maybe you’re holding a conversation right now. Perhaps you’re talking with your mother, or your father, or that sister you like to pretend you don’t really know, but deep down in side you actually wish you weren’t fighting so much and that you would get along. You know who I’m talking about.
Also, you should capitalize “i”. Incorrect grammar gets you nowhere.
