My Top 10 Most Played Songs
Tuesday, May 19, 2009
Everyone else is posting songs on their blogs from time to time, so I thought why not join in on the fun? Note that normal blog posts occur on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Since I don’t normally blog on Tuesday, you’re missing out on anything. So don’t worry if this doesn’t interest you.
So, here’s the ten songs you should be listening to, because they’re the ones I’m listening to the most:
- “Grand Central” by Ed Shearmur
- “How it Ends” by DeVotchka
- “Shatter” by Feeder
- “Around the World” by ATC
- “Fingerbib” by Aphex Twin
- “Polynomical-C” by Aphex Twin
- “Whispers In The Dark” by Skillet
- “Paper Planes” by MIA
- “Im a skatman” by Skatman
- “Reptilla” by The Strokes
Yay.

Just saying, if you like Aphex Twin you’d like Nine Inch Nails, most likely. They’re not similar in style in the slightest (save for being industrial), but they’ve collaborated a few times. Nin tends to be more like “normal” music with lyrics and such, but they both use unorthodox sounds and techniques. Plus there’s at least one Nin song for anyone.
Also the Skatman is the best thing ever. Bar none.
I’ll see if I can find some good NIN songs.
I agree somewhat with what you said about Skatman, definitely.
@Peter
Just tell me what kind of songs you like (quiet, loud, fast, slow, heavy, light, noisy, calm, aggressive, whatever), and I’ll give recommendations. You can PM me that on the forums, btw.
Such a discrepancy…
