Alrenous, if you haven't already, read "The End of Cartesian Demons" and "Clarifying the Idea of Meaning". If you still have your objection that a belief can affect how the holder feels about something without affecting how they predict things, bring it up in the comment section of "Clarifying the Idea of Meaning".

Note that if all a belief does is affect how the holder feels about something, it is still meaningful. All it’s predicting is an emotion, but that’s still a thing. This is important because most adopt beliefs for only this kind of reason, and are indifferent to the practical aspects because they never use them for prediction.
