I Preempted Jon Stewart!

  Friday, April 9, 2010

Only eleven hours after my previous blog post about Michael Steele using his race card, Jon Stewart’s show, The Daily Show, has a hilarious clip about the exact same topic, using the exact same topics. Check out his slant on the same issue in this post.

  Wednesday, April 7, 2010

We’ve talked about Michael Steele, the chair of the RNC, before. But we’ve only touched on his use of the race card in deflecting criticsm, especially among all the times he has declared his hatred for the race card. Check it out.

Now, About that Extremist Right Fringe

  Monday, March 29, 2010

Think my last political post was too harsh, and attacked the Republican Party too much for the sake of it’s individual extremist members? Think again. The actions of the extremist fringe have bled into the main party more than you might think, and have been fanned by the main party all the same.

Dear Senate Republicans

  Friday, March 26, 2010

I’ve gotten really fed up with all the obstructionism that is happening in Congress, and I’ve decided to rant about it in this letter to the Republican Senators. I can do that because I have a blog, and you should read it because it’s information you should know, and you’re along for the ride.

Why “Citizens United v. FEC” Isn’t a Huge Deal

  Wednesday, February 3, 2010

Have you heard that the recent Supreme Court Case — Citizens United v. FEC — is going to be the death of democracy, because it allows millions of dollars of corporate funding to go directly to public canidates? Have you heard that China will now be able to directly influence public elections? Have you heard that democracy has died because of a case worse than Dred Scott v. Sandford? Why Independent Thought Died Today

  Wednesday, September 9, 2009

You have been warned.

Looks Can Be Deceiving

  Wednesday, July 15, 2009

So maybe you’ve seen the picture of Obama and French President Nicolas Sarkozy apparently checking out a woman, but when you see the picture in the full context of a video, it appears that looks can be deceiving! See for yourself.

The Democrats Have Total Control! Oh No!

  Wednesday, July 8, 2009

This advertisement released after Al Franken finally became a senator is a wonderful piece of Republican cinema, but it has gotten me a bit riled. Sure, breathtaking soundtrack and Franken imagery aside, it’s an amazing ad… Well… except for the fact that by amazing, I mean amazingly wrong. Today I analyze every claim in the ad and show why they’re all… stupid.

Palin Madness Wrapup

  Monday, July 6, 2009

So, for Sarah Palin and her possible desire to be President — campaigning in Iowa, and New Hampshire, and the other important caucus states is pretty hard from Alaska. So what does she do to fix that? She resigns from being Governor of Alaska before even completing her first term of any office above being mayor of a town called Wasilla, a town with a population of about 5500 and more moose than they have people. What is going on? Find out in today’s post.
