9/9/09 And Website Redesign
Friday, September 11, 2009
Author’s Note: Yes, the title does intentionally rhyme. Thanks for noticing!
Two days ago, on Wednesday, we witnessed September 9th, 2009. I made sure to celebrate both 9:09am and 9:09pm, but I didn’t want to blog about it because I didn’t want to detract from Wednesday’s anti-anti-Obama rant.
And you probably knew about it anyway. If you didn’t, you’re dead inside. And you have to wait another 100 years to celebrate a repetition of single digit dates. It sure must stink to be you.
Onward to website redesign! This week, I redesigned the website! I changed all of the post descriptions to summaries and added a picture for every post, which was quite painstaking. But it ended up looking really nice, and I like the end result. I also tightened the layout a bit and increased the font size of everything. I then redid the title and re-added the graphical logo, and took out the random sayings. (They may return in the future.)
However, the homepage is not the only part of the website that got a makeover. I redid the archives a little and made the page into two columns. The games page was left alone.
I then redesigned the stuff section in a similar style to the homepage, and spaced out all the listings as well as enlarged each listing so you can more easily tell what is going on.
The remaining pages have been left the same, with only a few more minor changes around.
I hope you like it! I hope to also see you Monday. Happy retroactive 9/9/09, and happy browsing.
(And a final moment of silence to remember those involved in September 11, 2001.)
